Welcome to my colorful world. I am a happy (most of the time!) wife, mom, artist, and preschool art teacher. I love to create, cook, nest, decorate, entertain family and friends, laugh, collect vintage stuff, snuggle my cat and dog, play outdoors, watch movies with girlfriends, and so much more! In addition to all this, I also publish an online magazine with my dear friend, called Mermaids of the Lake. Oh, and I love a big cup of coffee with cream, a dry martini, red wine, blingy jewelry, pink lipstick, blue fingernail polish. I love color! Beautiful colors inspire, motivate, and move me!!! What's my favorite color? I can't choose. I love them all! Yellow, pink, red, turquoise, blue, purple, orange, green and every variation in between!

Hoot Hoot! Toilet Paper Roll Owls!
I have been saving toilet paper rolls forever! There are so many fun art projects to do with them.
I LOVE owls. It all began in my childhood when my mom collected them. Can you guess which decade I grew up in? Yep - I am talking the 70's! Toilet paper roll crafts, including owls are all over blog-land and Pinterest. I knew I would dive into making me some toilet paper roll owls. Fun! I used acrylic paints, but you can cover them with paper or use tempera if you are making these with kids. Even fabric would work!
Janie even let this little pink girl snuggle up for a nap.
